The AWS rehearses Tuesday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30 in Roswell at the Roswell United Methodist Church. Dr. Patrick K. Carney, Director of Bands at Clayton State University, is the Music Director & Conductor. Our Concert season begins in August and runs through June. The AWS is a resident ensemble of the Roswell Cultural Arts Center.

Our season is typically composed of four, 3:00 pm Sunday concerts in October, December, March and May .  Dress rehearsals are the Saturday before at 10:00 am.  Other dates are Roswell Remembers, 10:15 Memorial Day, Behind Roswell City Hall;  Three performances in late June - Roswell Patriotic Celebration, RUMC.  Check our online schedule for specifics and any additional performances.

Audition requirements

  • 2-minute prepared piece demonstrating lyrical and technical playing
  • Major scales
  • Chromatic scale
  • 1 sight-reading piece
