Roswell Patriotic Celebration

The 120-voice RUMC Sanctuary Choir and Atlanta Wind Symphony join forces to raise this inspiring musical tribute to our great nation, honoring her heritage of freedom and the men and women who serve in the Armed Forces.

The Atlanta Wind Symphony small ensembles perform for community events, particularly around the winter and patriotic holidays, as well as throughout the year as entertainment for retirement communities, afternoons in the park, and outdoor festivals. The ensembles also perform as accompaniment with choral groups and for church services.

The AWS Clarinet Quartet performs and promotes small ensemble clarinet literature to provide enjoyable performances both for audiences and for quartet members. The quartet strives for self-improvement both in individual and ensemble playing, greater awareness of clarinet literature, and fun musical experiences.

The AWS Woodwind Quintet is comprised of five Atlanta Wind Symphony members playing flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn. The ensemble look forwards to sharing woodwind quintet music with a variety of audiences. In addition to membership in the Atlanta Wind Symphony, ensemble members are active in many community musical organizations in the metro Atlanta area.

The AWS Brass Quintet follows the standard instrumentation of two trumpets, French horn, trombone, and tuba. The repertoire is broad for the brass quintet and includes transcriptions of orchestral pieces, original works, collaborations with organ or choir for church services, and a variety of popular music and marches.
